How Did I Make It |
|
When I had all the necessary components of my future PC I started working.
I decided to mount all the internal parts of the PC on one chassis. It
made the construction process much easier. First I made a foundation —
rectangular metal plate of the same size as the biggest side of the case
from the inside. I used the old computer case cover to cut the basement:
First I mark out a place for the motherboard and then — for
power supply. I removed the cover of the power supply to decrease the
space occupied, and then cut off everything unnecessary from the rest
of power supply case to install its card vertically.
The next things I made were drive bays. I also used parts of old cases
to make them.
I installed small 2inch (50mm) ball bearing fan in the bottom to cool
the hard drive. Additional cooling is necessary because of the cramped
(small) case.
As you see, I removed the front panel of the CD-ROM drive. It has
been done because the drive had to be inside the case and I was going
to use external controls for it.
