More Paris

One week is not enough to see all the sights and enjoy everything in Paris.

At The Gallery Of Nottre-Damme CathederalDuring those seven days we spent in Paris we had very busy schedule, but, anyway, we missed some things. But we do not want you to miss them.

So, being to Notre-Dame Cathedral do not forget to go upstairs (by spiral/winding stairs to the left and to the right from the main gates) to the famous gallery and enjoy nice view of the city.

You can also enjoy remarkable view of Paris from the tea house on tenth floor of Institute Of Arabic World, located in district of Botanic Garden. The windows of the Institute has diaphragms that keep constant the amount of light inside the building.

One of the most outstanding places of Paris is Centre Georges Pompidou — National Museum of Modern Art. Permanent exhibition (on fifth and sixth floors) contain works of period from 1905 till 1960. There are cinema, theatre, conference-hall, children design studio on the ground floor and underground floor. From the seventh floor you can see Montmartre, La Defénse district and Eiffel Tower.

Amelie and St Martin CanalWe also recommend to have a walk to St Martin Canal. It has lots of small bridges and sluices. This was one of the most favorite places of main character of "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain" movie (or just "Amelie").

And of course, visit Boulogne Forest to look at regularly planned landscapes. But we were not recommended to go there in the evening or at night.

It would be better to try real French Cuisine. Most people advices to try famous onion soup. We enjoyed French croissant very much. You will never find such tasty ones somewhere else.

What is one of the most famous products of France? Wine! On our way back home we had five bottles of wine. French wine is very good (even if it is not expensive). And do not forget to try french cheese.

CoffeeFrench people drink more coffee than tea. That is why tea is more expensive in Paris. You can enjoy coffle in some of numerous cafes — in the open air or under the roof.

As we already told you, Paris is a real museum in the open air. So pay attention to the buildings, bridges and monuments — most of them are beautiful.

One of the most famous sights of Paris is design of Metro. Not metro inside, but entrances to metro stations, especially those, designed by Ektor Gimar (French architect), are bright examples of Art Nouveau style.Motorcycles in Paris

You also can note that there are no big cars in the city (Smarts, Volkswagen Beetle, and Mini are widely spread), but we were impressed by the number of bicycles and motorcycles.
