Steam Engine Restoration Facility 2006
On my way (by suburban train) to Pushkin I always pass a platform called Steam Engine Restoration Facility. This is the place, where old engines are prepared for Steam Engine Museum. There are lots of old rusty train cars and engines there, much more then we have in the museum. For me the most attractive was their condition, because in the museum all the exhibits are renewed, freshly painted and you can not climb on them. So, one sunny day I went there to take pictures of unrestored trains, but when I came, the guard did not let me in. He told me it was a restricted area and no public admittance was allowed. It was quite disappointing, so I took some pictures through the fence.
As usual, Fuji Velvia slide film was used to reveal all the beautiful colors.
